First things first (I’m the realest) … major apologies for my mini blogging break! I’ve been stressed to the nines trying to get all my work complete for my hand-ins. Thankfully I’m three out of six deadlines down and feel like I can actually breathe again, hoorah. Whilst I’ve been away, Velvet Spring hit 900 followers! eek, it feels like two seconds ago I was doing a 500 followers giveaway! I guess another could be on the cards.. it is gifting season after all.
Now, if you’ve followed my ramblings for quite some time you’ll know that I am in no means vegan. That’s not to say I don’t want to be, I find it difficult to discover great vegan makeup and skincare especially – let alone vegan food! However, I feel like when I’ve found a great alternative to my regular brands like Nars and Mac who freely test on animals etc, I will stick with it. I mean, who wouldn’t want to use a vegan, cruelty free brand over a brand that isn’t?
Anywaaay, getting on to the point eventually.. I received a little package from MooGoo who are a completely cruelty-free, vegan brand. I love their brand story! they were inspired by an udder cream that was used to protect cow udders, which was so good they decided to create a non-greasy version for humans – since then they’ve brought out a whole range of heavenly skin products.
The Verdict
After using the skin products for a few weeks now, I just had to share my thoughts with you all. It’s crazy how much of a difference i noticed in my skin within the first week of using MooGoo’s full cream moisturiser. The smell is heavenly, it smells like candyfloss! which is a definite bonus because some moisturisers tend to have a really artificial smell that puts me off use. My skin is baby smooth and I’ve used this moisturiser along with the udder cream religiously since the first try, even my boyfriend keeps trying to steal these from me.
After loving the results from the full cream moisturiser, I decided to give the Skin Milk Udder Cream a whirl. Don’t get me wrong, the name makes me feel a bit gross but I can assure you it’s definitely not gross –  not in the slightest haha. This moisturiser contains milk protein which is supposed to increase the elasticity in your skin. I mean, something that can be prescribed by the NHS for dry skin is obviously going to be great, isn’t it? It’s hands down the favourite moisturiser I’ve ever tried. I think I’ve mentioned before I tend to get quite puffy eyes and dark circles, damn genetics.. Using this cream night and day has completely improved the appearance of my dark circles and I could legit cry. I’ve used Clarins, Origin, Kiehls, you name it – this is the only brand to fully improve my eyes.
The last product I want to talk about is protein shot leave-in conditioner. Because I have dyed hair, I’m always on the lookout for products that can jazz up my hair, especially between cuts.. (I really need a haircut ugh). This protein shot is packed with Jojoba oil and coconut oil – rather than silicone which most mainstream conditioners use to give the illusion of soft hair. I blow dried my hair after the first use not expecting miracles and was amazed that my hair was a lot less frazzled than usual. It looks amazing, I got so many compliments the next day. I can’t wait for this sample to run out so I can purchase the full size and have a whole bottle to myself.
I would recommend this brand to all of my vegan and non-vegan friends out there, with the full size versions of all of these products all priced at under £10, you’d be crazy not to give it a try. This post isn’t sponsored as some of you may think, I’m just genuinely impressed with the brand! I wasn’t expecting this post to be so bloody wordy so I’ll speak about the Dusty Girls makeup products another time. (Also very good lol). I hope you’re all having a lovely week! J x

It's definitely hard finding good vegan and cruelty-free brands. It took me a few years before I was finally happy with the products in my makeup bag! I've never heard of MooGoo so I definitely have to try them out!!
