Tis’ the season of ugly sweaters and festive knitwear.
Ho Ho how you doin’ folks. Bit of a change of scenery isn’t it? Hartlepool is considerably greyer in the winter and it’s virtually impossible to find nice places to shoot. So when all else fails, I guess the only option left was to pay a trip to the only remotely colourful place left, the arcades.
Christmas is firmly upon us… yikes, queue a ‘where did the year go’ quote. With that, I’ve been swerving ugly christmas jumpers and furry parka jackets like Keanu Reeves in the Matrix. I don’t know what it is about this time of the year, but I find it relatively hard to find clothes that I like. December is my birthday and christmas month and I tend to be a little bit more sensible with my buys. So when it comes to summer, and I’m more than likely broke AF, I can make use of the versatile pieces I purchased in the winter. For example, this High Neck Knitted Jumper* I was kindly gifted by LOTD will look splendid with a denim skirt and vans.
Judging by how much this Lazy Oaf Cardigan has been on my back since I bought it, this is also going to be a firm fave in 2018. Although it’s a tad more expensive than what I’d usually pay for a cardigan, it’s a real eye catcher and the quality is always top notch from Lazy Oaf. If you’re still looking for great christmas gifts for women, I’d highly recommend checking out Jack Wills’ giftwear range. FYI, they’ve got a whole bunch of colourful festive fancies that aren’t as pricey as Lazy Oaf along with some great beauty and sleepwear bits.
I’m currently writing this post wearing the Jack Wills checked lounge pants and eating a good old M&S mince pie, so I can vouch for Jack Wills when I say these are super comfy and roomy enough for my christmas food baby. Here’s a few more statement knitwear pieces I’ve been loving that you can wear all year round too if you loved my Lazy Oaf cardigan .. Ciao for now x
